Q:
What is a screen in the screen printing job?
A: A screen is made for each color in a design. They are rectangular in size and vary in mesh count. Each screen has a color punched out (exposed) to let ink flow through onto the product. A three color design would have 3 screens, each printed separately to create the final 3 color effect.

Q:
Are multi-colored logos extra?
A: Yes, multi-color prints cost more due to additional labor involved for set-ups and printing.

Q:
Can I combine differet styles of garments for my order?
A: Yes, you may combine any number of styles to get the quantity price break. For example, order 24 t-shirts, 24 tank tops and 24 sweat shirts and receive the 72 piece price for all garments, as long as all garments recieve the same print. The only exception is for hats. Hats must be ordered separately because they require different screens and use a dedicated hat press.

Q:
How large should my logo be?
A: There are no set standards. This is art and it is all very subjective. We recommend that you print your image onto paper in a number of different sizes. For example, print your image at 6", 8" and 10" wide. Place the images one at a time in the location on your garment where you want it to print. Use a live body rather than laying it flat on a table, so you'll see how the shirt looks as someone wears it. Talk to the others in your group and decide on an image size.

Q:
What images can I upload for use in designs, and how do I properly prepare those images?
A: First of all, please make sure your image is suitable for the decoration method you're using.
* For screen-printing, we can work with black and white photographs or illustrations with clear, distinct areas of color as opposed to multiple shades and tones. You can submit images for screen-printing that contain half tones (also known as gradients).

* For embroidery, images must only contain clear, distinct areas of color. Subtle tones and fades can't be embroidered.

Secondly, ensure that you have properly prepared the image you're uploading.

* The best types of images for our service are vector illustrations created in programs such as Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW. These images should be saved or exported and then uploaded in *.eps format. Before saving or exporting as *.eps, please (1) flatten the image, (2) outline fonts, and (3) convert to Pantone or RGB colors.

* Raster images, such as those created in Adobe Photoshop and CorelPHOTOPAINT, should be saved or exported as *.gif, *.tif, or *.jpg files. You're best off using *.gif with a transparent background (if that is, in fact, what you want). Most importantly, such images should be high-resolution. The final product won't look good unless your image is at least 200 dots per inch (DPI) at the actual size you want it printed. That means that if you want to print a *.gif image at a size of 5" x 5" on a T-shirt, it should be about 15" x 15" on your 72 DPI computer monitor.

Finally, to upload a file to our system, the filename may not contain spaces. Please be sure to rename the file accordingly before uploading.
